Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?

Okay, so my mom wakes me up for school because I grew up waking up by my mom and not by an alarm clock. So my mom would always wake me up at 6:45am when school starts at 7:10am. I was late to school 2 weeks straight because of my mom. I never said anything about it but I'm really sick of this because today my homeroom teacher wrote me up for coming to school late..... I was like ';Wth. Okay, I don't care.'; because it's not my fault.

So I need to fix my hair by straightening/curling it and she gave away my ';CHI'; straightener to someone else without even asking me. WTH. DOES SHE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH A CHI STRAIGHTENER COST? So I have to use a cheap drugstore straightener now and EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IT TAKES MORE THAN JUST 5 MINS. TO FIX YOUR HAIR but my mom was like ';You can fix your hair LESS THAN 5 MINUTES'; and I got mad and I told her ';Shut up, if it's so possible for anyone to do their hair in less than 5 minutes, then you do it. Show me. I want to see'; and she got mad and started talking crap about me. But anyways, my mom refuses to wake me up earlier and I don't want to go to school looking like a frizzy haired freak.

And I've been late for 2 weeks straight already and supposedly our school supports a program where you get a certain amount of tardies and you'll be sent to ';0 Credit'; and you would either have to go to summer school or re-take the school year..... Is there a way to get rid of all these tardies? Because it's not even MY FAULT and my counselor knows how immature my mom is because she's spoken to her before and she knows that I get abused by her. (Another story.)Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?
I know how you feel. You can go to the store and buy a fairly cheap alarm clock (5 bucks maybe less) and it works fine, it's what I did. I'm a dude and I take more than 5 minutes on my hair lol.Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?
Get an alarm clock. I know about mom's talking **** about taking too long to get ready, so now you just need to start taking control of your school attendance.

I guess you're **** out of luck then. Sorry.
set an alarm clock so you can wake up earlier
Oh honey- you ought to go hug that woman! Cause if you were my kid you would have the wake up call of your life!
Buy an alarm clock, quit blaming others for you immature shortcomings, man up and face the penalties for being late. You are a spoiled selfish child and if you were my child I would knock you into next Tuesday.
Do you have a cell phone? If you do you can use the alarm clock on that to wake up.
School starts at 710? Damn that's early...well what I suggest is you be responsible...like wake up earlier yourself, don't rely on your mom...grow up
Honey, you need to set an alarm clock for yourself. Figure out how much time you need to get ready and allow for that so you can get to school on time. This is your responsibility.
You need to start taking responsibility for yourself and stop blaming others for your problems.

Its a simple solution. Get up earlier. If it takes you 45 minutes to get ready, then you need to get up 45 minutes earlier. Get an alarm clock like others have said. Mommy isn't going to be around to get you up for the rest of your life so learn to deal with it.
should have traded in that CHI iron for a cheaper straightener and an alarm clock...

also if you go to sleep at 10pm or 9pm you will usually wake up earlier...
Here's an online alarm clock! http://onlineclock.net/
Break your mom's freakin rules and get your own alarm clock!
Snivelling about your mom doesn't help you.

Get your own clock. Hide it if necessary. There are some very quiet and cheap ones available.

You are old enough to use a computer, surely a clock is simpler and would end this little problem.

Sounds as though this is not really about a stupid clock but other issues.

Don't bother responding to me, I can't be bothered with spoiled brats.
Seriously? I get up a 6:00 AM for school starting at 7:30! It's far. Get used to life. SUCK IT UP! You'll get used to it soon enough. and im only 13. My mother + father go to sleep at 12 am-2am and wake up at 6am - 7 am. IT'S LIFE, GET OVER IT!!!! But i still feel pity for u. I know how it is to get used to this crap for your whole life then you actually have to wake up....

IT SUCKS!!!

oh well... ; )
Perhaps buy a watch that you can set your alarm on. They have ones that vibrate and won't even make a noise. Learn to take it upon yourself to wake up instead of relying on others. Try to explain to your mom that getting an alarm clock or something to help you wake up, will help you get to school on time, give you time to fix your hair and get ready for the day, and save her the hassle of waking you up in the mornings.

How can I tame my natural curls?

So I need some help trying to figure out how to properly style my long, naturally curly hair (and by curly I mean ringlets - not extremely tight though).

I've already learned the basics: shampoo less (and with good shampoo), condition daily, ring out excess water, use a pic or fingers, use my product, and let it air dry. For my product I use a little biosilk or chi serum. I noticed this really helps to tame the define the curls yet keep it soft. However I need to use a little harispray to keep the frizz under control. My problem is that at first my hair has ringlets, and then as the day goes on it starts to loosen up (and for those that have naturally curly hair, that in between look of perfectly defined curls and a little looser does not look great). Usually, it's the next day my curls look the best. But then of course sections are frizzy from sleeping on it.

Overall, what I'm trying to figure out is how to get the natural or next day look right away. I've heard about showering at night (I always shower in the am just to style my hair) and styling and letting it dry then, but how can I sleep without messing it up?

Any recommendations on your entire process for getting natural looking curls it would be greatly appreciated :)How can I tame my natural curls?
I have curly, fine dry hair. Oh, the joy. When it looks good, it looks great. However, this is rare.

I have tried alot of things and this is what works for me.

1) I believe that the ';no shampoo'; practice is great and it works for my thicker-haired curly girl friends. Basically, you don't use shampoo cause to be honest it is sort of a rigged game. First, a person uses detergent to get rid of ';oils'; and then we use a conditioner to make hair soft again? The idea of ';curly girl'; is a person rinses hair, trying not to disturb natural curl pattern, and uses conditioner to massage scalp and on ends. Brown Sugar can be used as scalp exflotient when needed (id scalp itches or feels icky).

Try to air dry as much as possible. Try not to disturb natural curl pattern - i.e. don't scrunch hair alot. Can use clips to lift roots up to get more volume as hair dries.

2) the use of a ';refresher'; during the day. A spray bottle with a little lavendar oil in it can be used to spray at ';wilting'; curls and they will get ';springier'; and more shapely. This does not work for me, but does for many others. I suppose you don't have to use lavender oil.

3) As someone with fine hair, if I don't shampoo sometimes, it is a sad sight. What I do try to do is just use it at roots. I try not to use it every shampoo. I try non-sulfate ones. There are a few.

4) I know completely what you mean about sleeping on it and SILK pillowcases are a god-send. They really really work. Supposedly used alot for preventing wrinkles, they work amazing for hair. All night long there is friction from head (hair) on pillowcases. I have found so much less frizz and tangles with silk cases. Satin, whatever - something that provides some ';slip'; while sleeping.

5) try putting in some product - Phyto 7 I adore- and braiding it before bed.

6) Once a week I put on the cotton pillowcases and sleep with olive oil in hair. It is amazing! I do use a mild ';real'; shampoo the day after (especially on roots) but the hair is so ';happy'; the next few days, less frizz, more shine and suppleness. You could try just putting oil or deep conditioner on ends the night before for better AM wash and style.

7) Basically, don't fall into the ';hydrating'; shampoo concept - it is vicious cycle.

8) you know your hair, but hairspray seems contraindicated and is usually drying. Maybe look for another product to ';keep'; curl? I do like the Bumble %26amp; Bumble curl cream, Phyto 7 mixed with a little liquid gel, or some of the morrocon oil mixed with liquid gel.

First start out with a really good cut by a stylist that understands curly hair.

Shampoo and conditioner should be highly moisturizing.

My favorite curl product is ';Boing'; by Unite Eurotherapy (a salon brand)...the best I've ever tried!

I air dry and scrunch, barely even finger combing, and don't use combs or brushes. If I use a hair dryer it's always on low with a diffuser.
With a Chair and Whip.

How can I get my curls to not be so spirally?

I have long, naturally curly hair. My curls are similar to Taylor Swifts (when she wears them a little tighter). I'm trying to figure out the best way to style them.

I know the basics for caring for curly hair: shampoo every few days with shampoo made for curly hair, condition daily, twist out water, use a wide-tooth comb to brush it. Now this is my issue - I use a little chi serum or biosilk when my hair is still damp - this keeps my hair soft and defined. However I need to use a little hairspray to keep my hair from getting frizzy. Then I let my hair air dry.

After it dries, my hair is pretty curly. As the day goes on, the curls loosen up. However, as people who have curly hair know, when some of your curls are tight and the rest are more relaxed it doesn't look right. After the day is done, all my curls are relaxed and that's the look I want (almost like second day curls). I was told that showering at night and letting them dry will produce that look in the morning, however how do I not get bed head? What kind of rollers/products can I use at night or in the am to prevent or fix it?How can I get my curls to not be so spirally?
Try showering in the afternoon and air drying your hair all afternoon and evening. If you go to sleep with wet hair you will almost definitely get bedhead. I have the same problem, but with waves instead of curls. I can't vouch for this because I haven't tried it, but here is one other thing you could try. Shower before bed and let it air dry a bit, so its not soaking. Use your normal products and then pile your hair up on your head and wear a swim or shower cap to bed. Your hair may still be damp in the morning so just make sure you take it down in time for it to dry the rest of the way before you leave. Good luck! How can I get my curls to not be so spirally?
i would just let them dry naturally, and once they look the way you want them , spray them so they stay like that. hope tht helps. %26amp; if you get the chance answer my most recent question it would help alot thanx(:

I want big curly/wavy hair with my flat iron, but HOW?!?

I love experimenting with my hair and trying new styles and such. I just bought a really nice chi, and as you may know you can make cute curls/waves with a flat iron. But it seems flat? Like... the curl itself. I mean i can tease my hair and really fluff it up but... the curl, itself, is very flat. Anybody know anything that i can do to fix this? Am i doing something wrong? Are there any products you can suggest? If so, id love your help. Thanks (:I want big curly/wavy hair with my flat iron, but HOW?!?
